This is how make our solutions – FAST, EFFICIENT, EXTRAORDINARY
At Digital Multiply, we are ardent followers of the laid down process. Our work process has been refined over the years and has proven to be a great asset in delivering world class solutions.
Defining the project
We collaborate with client to understand his requirements and list them down in following order:
a.Summary: This is a quick reference for all stakeholders (present and new) to get high level overview of the project.
b.Goals: These are very clear descriptions of expected outcomes, mostly in a chronological order. We always list down short and long term goals. Goals help us to keep regular checks on project development being in sync with the expected outcomes.
c.Target Audience: Defining the target audience helps us shape the solution better towards the needs of whom it is developed for.
d.Communication: A well-built product sometimes fails to resonate with the audience due to a lack of connect. This connect is very important for today’s solutions as the end user is loathed with choices. The connect created by the communication like on-site messages, email responders etc, helps differentiate from the crowd.
e.Competition: Learning about the competition helps create real benchmarks which could also be called as bare minimums required succeeding in the marketplace.
Creating a project scope greatly helps both the client and Digital Multiply to keep a track of deliverables, milestones and also the desired outcomes. All this is done by creating a list of sequential activities which is easy to understand and track by all stakeholders.
Wireframes and Site Architecture
A wireframe is very important to get an initial feel of how the application flow would be established. A wireframe is quite different from a flowchart as we define all the on-screen elements and their placements in a wireframe. We usually do a couple of wireframes at our end before sending it over for client review. As a result of these reviews, we become aware of the need for certain missing or value adding features and functions within the application.
Now that we know what is exactly needed, we go ahead and create user interfaces for each main screen of the application. Aesthetics and usability take the lead now and reviews are sought from people who are the targeted users. The reviews are incorporated back into the system before seeking a second round of reviews. Branding and messaging are also kept in mind when creating the visual design.
Coding and Development
After the visual design is finalized, it undergoes html programming to render itself properly on all desktop and mobile browsers. The functionality is made alive by coding the application in powerful programming languages like PHP, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Python, ASP.Net etc.
Before it can be called complete, the website or application undergoes a number of tests to ensure smooth functioning in all the possible browsers and devices. Another testing called user acceptance testing is done to ensure all the features and functions work as desired. Any anomalies found at this stage are reported to the development team, who fix it up and send it back for review.
Technology, design and user preferences keep changing with time. To keep up with these dynamic market movements, it is important to maintain the site in terms of design, technology updates and functional upgrades. Our team keeps abreast of latest developments and keeps sending important recommendations to you.
